Jaztin

Jaztin known more for his teaching and contribution to the salsa sence as a promoter was the founding Chairman of the Ice Skating Association Singapore. He have ported what he learn from figure skating training into training salsa dancers. Today many dancers have been throught his training programs and gone on to become Local and International Salsa Instructor.

Starlinn Choo also known as Yanqing is one of the top Salsa dancers and Instructors in the world. Her YOUTUBE.com videos under salsa performances received the highest hit in the world from June to October 2006. She has been featured on many TV and Newspapers in Asia. She has been invited as a guest performer, artist, teacher and judge for many overseas Salsa Dance Competitions, Festivals, Congresses and assigment including but not limited to USA, France,Germany, Argentina, Cuba, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei, India, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hong Kong and Taiwan and has been voted "Top Female Salsa Dancer in Asia" by WorldSalsaNews.com in 2005. In 2006, Starlinn was also awarded the NUS Student Achievement Award in Arts and Culture for her achievements in dance. She is the Champion of the Singapore 1st Open Salsa Competition 2005, Champion of Xenbar Professional Salsa Competition 2005. She is the one you see dancing on the TV screen in buses, food courts, shopping malls on TV Mobile and TV programs featured all over Singapore and has worked on and appeared in many Chinese, Tamil and English TV programs in Singapore. Her students are known to fly in from various countries just to take her group and private classes.

Starlinn has over 19 years of Ballet experience and teaches Salsa On1, On2, Cuban Style, Afro Cuban, Bachata, Merengue, Rueda, Belly dance, Jazz, Yoga, Pilates, Latin, Argentine Tango, Hip-hop, Reggaeton and Sensual dance. She is known for bringing the Hip-hop and Belly dancing styles into Salsa in Asia and introduce Zouk & Reggaeton to Singapore. She is the main choreographer for Asia's First Salsa Musical Comedy that was premiered at the Summer Dancefit 2006 with a revise performance at Kallang Theathre later that year, Salsa for Beginners (Theatre and Reality Movie) in the Singapore Salsa Congress 2006 and Hokkien Salsa in the Singapore Salsa Festival 2007 and Christmas Salsa in Victoria Theatre in December 2007. Between 2004 to 2006 she has produced over 20 dance DVDs, these DVDs can be found in Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, US, Israel, Indonesia, UK, Australia and on www.SalsaDVD.com. She also designed a range of Salsa Dance Shoes on sale at www.akoala.com and shoe retail store. With her instructor & mentor Jaztin, they have developed the Super Spin Salsa Video and are famous for their Hammer Lock Nine Spin.

Manfred Goh

Manfred Goh started dancing during his University days and has won numerous dance competitions. His team - Danzto was Champions of NUS Zaam 3 Dance competition and was 1st runner-up for Funkamania in 2001.
In the same year, Manfred passed the auditions and was selected to be one of the scholars of MediaCorp Dance Academy, under the tutelage of Laura Bong and Bill Calhoun, judges of the popular National Reality TV Dance Competition - The Dance Floor.
Manfred went on to perform on National TV in many big shows like National Countdown to New Year Celebrations, NKF Charity, Miss Universe Singapore and Phua Chu Kang Musical. Together with his team LXD, Manfred came in first in Pacific "Jazz it Up" Dance Competition and was 2nd runner-up for Suntec Dance Competition in 2003.
In 2004, Manfred started Salsa dancing under the tutelage of Jaztin and has grown to become an excellent Salsa performer, competitor and Instructor. He was Champion of Xenbar Salsa Competition in 2006. Manfred has both performed, competed intensively for these years and was invited to teach both locally and overseas.

Deffy Tay

Deffy is a born leader, having lead and coach a netball team for many years, she has transported her talent from netball coaching to teaching salsa dancers. She has competed in many local and overseas competition and attended many overseas salsa festivals and congresses. She has learn her salsa under the tutelage of Jaztin and was in Actfa Semi Pro Course. She have been teaching Salsa at Actfa since 2007

Li Bin

Gregarious Li Bin has always been drawn by dance. He has dabbled in different types of dances but found SALSA to be his calling. He only started dancing salsa seriously in 2007 under tutelage of Jaztin Ong and was place in the Actfa Semi-Pro class on day one. His passion and quenchless thirst for learning all things salsa has led him to be one of the male dancers to look out for in Singapore.

He threw himself in the deep end by taking part in a salsa competition in Taiwan in May 07 after only 2 weeks of training, and came in 5th place. He did not stop there and continued to take part in other competitions in Shanghai and Singapore. His hardwork paid off when he won first place in Singapore's Annual Bachata Competition in March 08. He has taught in Singapore, Taiwan and performed in Shanghai, Malaysia, Beijing Salsa Congress and Festival. Li Bin currently teaches Salsa and Bachata at Xenbar, Singapore.

Katrina

Affectionately known as Kat, this sprightly lass got her groove from hip hop from as far back as she can remember. Trying out salsa for fun in 2007, she got hooked and has not looked back since. Her exposure to different dance genres (jazz, ballet, pole, traditional, belly) gives her a valued perspective when dancing salsa. A firm believer in FEELING the music, she finds that she enjoys mixing different dance moves into salsa. She loves bachata and reggaeton – where the music seems to spring from primitive emotions.

She learn under the tutelage of Starlinn Choo and was in Actfa Semi Pro Course. Never one to refuse a challenge, she agreed to compete in a competition in Shanghai in October 07 even though she had only 3 days to prepare for it. In January 08, she and her group was placed 2nd in Singapore's first ever Shines competition. She then partnered Li Bin for Singapore's Annual Bachata Competition in Mar 08 and emerged champion.

She is a part-time instructor in Singapore, at Xenbar.
